Burkina: the government wants to modify the finance law to integrate current issues

The government on Thursday approved the rectification of the current finance law, with a view to taking into account new initiatives and current issues. "Halfway through, the budget execution was reviewed and it emerged that adjustments needed to be made to take into account the new initiatives that were taken and also the challenges of the moment," declared the Minister of Economy, Aboubakar Nacanabo, at the end of the Council of Ministers of September 19, 2024. According to the minister, this rectification will strengthen the social protection of human capital and support the industrialization of the country through tax exemption for the production of wheat flour, corn, sorghum and other locally produced cereals.
